Internet group makes Capitol Hill debut It is only a few months old, but already the Internet Association has been able to reel in top federal lawmakers for a series of panel discussions Tuesday on the future of Internet policy. According AdWeek, House minority whip Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-Md.), Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and House oversight chairman Rep. Darrell Issa (D-Calif.) were among more than a half-dozen lawmakers who showed up at the Capitol Hill event to praise the Internet industry.
